
Volunteer at the Harrisburg ReStore
Volunteering at the Harrisburg Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a great way to support our mission of building and repairing homes for families in need while gaining hands-on experience in a fun, team-oriented environment. ReStore volunteers help process donations, organize inventory, and provide excellent customer service on the sales floor.
What Volunteers Do:
- Greet and assist customers
- Accept, sort, and price incoming donations
- Organize and merchandise items on the sales floor
- Load/unload furniture and appliances
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store
Requirements:
- Age: Must be 16 or older (volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
- Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Attire: Closed-toe shoes and comfortable, work-appropriate clothing
Shifts Available:
- Volunteer shifts are available throughout the week during store hours. Volunteers may choose one or multiple shifts per week. Flexibility is welcome!
Group Volunteering:
- We welcome volunteer groups from schools, churches, clubs, and businesses! Group days must be scheduled in advance.
