We are currently only able to accept repair applications from residents outside of Harrisburg City, due to the number of applications received. Please check back for updates.

 

Critical Home Repairs

The Critical Home Repair program is designed to help keep low-income families in their existing home by making home repairs for which there is a need.

 

The program addresses five key components:

  1. Safety
  2. Security
  3. Accessibility
  4. Fixing code violations
  5. Energy Efficiency

 

To qualify for the Critical Home Repair program you must meet the following requirements:

  1. You must be a homeowner
  2. You must reside in Dauphin County
  3. Residents of the City of Harrisburg must be current on all city, school, and county taxes
  4. Income must below 80% of the Area Median Income. To see income guidelines click here

  6. Must show a willingness to partner adn repay through a small financial payment and sweat equity

Sponsorship Opportunity

Critical Home Repair sponsorships are available for businesses, congregations, and interested organizations for $7,500. This sponsorship opportunity offers the chance for small work groups, team building volunteer experiences, and working in partnership with our community’s homeowners.
