PPL Makes Contribution to Habitat
PPL continues pledge to support future headquarters for Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area.
Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area continues to see support from one of their neighbors. PPL Corporation recently made its second installment of a five-year, $25,000 pledge to Habitat for Humanity. The donation will be used for further improvements to Habitat’s future headquarters building located at 100 North 13th Street in the city.
The check presentation was made to Habitat’s Director of Development Mark Mattern and ProjectAdministrator Antron Watson in front of PPL’s Brookwood Street location by Jim Nulton, PPL Community Relations Director. Nulton pointed out that, “PPL and Habitat for Humanity share a common goal of rebuilding our neighborhoods so people have a safe, affordable place to live. Through these donations, we have made a commitment to the neighborhood and the City of Harrisburg.”
The donation from PPL will be directed to Habitat for Humanity’s Capital Campaign for the organization’s new headquarters building on 13th Street in Harrisburg. Work has begun to renovate the property and PPL’s contribution will go a long way toward the ongoing improvement project.
Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area is asking anyone interested in making a contribution, or finding out more about the organization, to stop by their web site at www.harrisburghabitat.org or call the Habitat office at 717-545-7299. |
