Women Build Looks to Raise Funds

Everyone can help right now

 

The Women Build from Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area is looking to raise money to continue work on their latest project. The local group is part of Colonial Park Mall’s “Cash for a Cause” program which runs until April 3, 2010.

 

 To support Habitat’s Women Build, simply shop at the Colonial Park Mall and keep all your receipts.  Take those receipts to the Guest Services Office to win points for Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build.  It really is that simple. 

 

After April 3rd, all the points will be added up for the charities and non-profits involved and three cash awards will be made by the Mall.  The top point winner will get $2,000, second place will get $1,000, and the third charity will get $500.

 

The Colonial Park Mall is located at Route 22 and Colonial Road in Harrisburg.  For more information on the fundraiser and to get Mall hours, stop by the Mall’s web site at www.colonialparkmall.com.  

 

The Women Build is moving forward with its latest project to provide a local family with a secure place to live.  But, funds are still needed to finish the work.  An individual or corporate donation can be made in the name of the Women Build by contacting the local Habitat office at 545-7299.

 

The Women Build home is work done exclusively by women here in Central PA. This special build works to nurture, recruit, and train women to build simple, decent, and affordable homes in their communities. This home is being built on Brady Street in Harrisburg as part of a duplex.
