TMI Makes Donation to Habitat
Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area announced that Exelon Nuclear, parent company of TMI, has made a donation of $5,000 to the non-profit’s operating funds. This year’s contribution continues an ongoing effort from the employees at TMI to support Habitat for Humanity and was presented to Habitat officials this week by TMI site Vice-President Glen Chick.
Habitat has been a partner with workers from TMI for several years and many of the local employees come out on a regular basis and are a part of Habitat’s large legion of volunteers.

“We would like to thank this special group for its ongoing support of our efforts here at Habitat for Humanity. We are grateful for their commitment to our local community, low-income families and the need for affordable homes. Through TMI’s volunteer efforts and financial commitment, we are changing lives,” said Eve Wachhaus, Habitat’s Executive Director.
Volunteer Group Coordinator Bill McSorley of TMI Engineering says that workers continue to sign up to help and that TMI sends a group out to a work site at least once a month…. “I know we have made a major contribution to the neighborhoods where Habitat works.”
