Habitat for Humanity Welcomes New Board Members

Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area recently announced that four members of the business community were added to the Board of Directors. New members of the board include Anne Kingsborough, Judith McAllister, Norman Mitchell and Matt Varner.
Kingsborough is the Store Manager- Assistant Vice President with Metro Bank, Colonial Park. Anne has more than 11 years of experience in banking. She earned her bachelor’s degree in decision science with a concentration in business information systems from Shippensburg University. Varner is the Director of Payor Relations at Pinnacle Health System. He has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Juniata College and a Master’s of Business Administration from Eastern University.
McAllister and Mitchell are both with Capitol Blue Cross in Harrisburg. McAllister is an Account Executive for the company’s largest accounts. Judith earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Denver in Colorado. Mitchell is the Organization Development and Learning Program Senior Manger at Blue Cross. He has a Masters and Doctorate in Organizational Psychology from LaSalle University.
Officers for the Habitat Board of Directors were also installed in July during the reorganizational meeting of the non-profit organization. The new officers for Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area include Karl Singleton, President; David Volkman, Vice-President; Norene Koeppel, Secretary and Mark Walker remains in his role as Treasurer.
Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical ministry that welcomes all people dedicated to the cause of eliminating poverty housing. Since its inception in 1986, the Harrisburg area affiliate has built nearly 65 houses, built 87 homes internationally and completed over 185 Critical Home Repairs by providing simple, decent and affordable shelter with families in need.
