Eaken Trio Presents 22nd Annual Holiday Show For Habitat
Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area has announced that the popular “Home for the Holidays” concert presented by the Eaken Piano Trio will return for the 22nd consecutive year. This year’s show will take place on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Cathedral, 221 North Front Street, Harrisburg at 7:00 P.M.
The Grammy nominated Eaken Piano Trio is currently in its 26th year of critically acclaimed concert appearances across the United States, Canada and around the world. The Eaken Trio is proud of their community outreach programs that have helped raise awareness of the homeless problems here in America and have generated tens of thousands of dollars to support organizations, like Habitat for Humanity, help the homeless and those living in poverty housing. 
The Eaken Piano Trio, with John Eaken, Gloria Whitney and Andrew Rammon, has been honored by Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area as an Outstanding Sustaining Partner of the affiliate.
“To get the Eaken Trio to perform their award winning concert for Habitat for 22 straight years is a true blessing,” said Mark Mattern, Habitat for Humanity’s Director of Development. “We look at the event as the unofficial kick-off for the holiday season with all proceeds going to help eliminate poverty housing here in Central Pennsylvania.”
There is no charge to attend this wonderful performance. However, an at-will donation will be accepted at the door. Anyone wanting to reserve a seat for the show may do so in advance by making a $20.00 per seat donation to Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area. The evening will also include a scheduled reception following the concert at St. Stephen’s and is presented by the Harrisburg Gourmet Club.
