“Fox 43 has been a wonderful partner to Habitat for Humanity,” said Mark Mattern, Director of Development. “They teamed up with us in the fall to follow a special project we had going in the City of Harrisburg. The station’s General Manager, Robert Furlong, was a volunteer on that project and he realized we needed to upgrade our vehicles. When the van became available, they thought of us.”
The donated vehicle will be used to carry equipment and supplies to the work sites throughout the region. Fox 43 made the donation official as turning over the keys and paperwork at the Fox 43 studios last week.
“Just 62,000 miles on the van,” Mattern continued. “It is in fantastic shape and Fox event made some repairs before turning it over to Habitat. There were many happy people around here when we pulled in.”
